Female hormonal imbalance and how to improve it

Hormonal imbalance is one of the worries of millions of women in the perimenopausal and menopausal years; when it occurs, it greatly affects their health, physiology, and emotional life.

We often pass along warnings about its risks and effects, but do women truly understand female hormonal imbalance? What are its causes, its signs, and how to guard against it in order to preserve a lasting foundation of health? Let's explore all of this together in this article!

FEMALE HORMONAL IMBALANCE AND HOW TO IMPROVE IT

Female hormonal imbalance and its signs

Hormonal imbalance is not a disease; it is only one of the warning signs the body gives about its health. Female hormonal imbalance occurs when the hormones estrogen and progesterone rise too high or fall lower than normal, affecting the body's physiological functions.

Signs of female hormonal imbalance:

Dry, dull, sagging skin that breaks out easily, due to disrupted sebum secretion and the skin's physiological activity.

Menstrual irregularities

Insomnia, light sleep, and frequent restlessness at night due to reduced hormone levels, along with night sweats and even hot flashes at night, seriously affecting sleep quality.

Reduced sexual desire: women also have the hormone testosterone, and if this hormone falls lower than normal it leads to greater indifference and apathy toward intimacy than usual.

Frequent fatigue and lethargy: this is a consequence of an excess of progesterone or of the thyroid producing too little hormone, leaving the person constantly drowsy, low on energy, and sluggish.

Causes of female hormonal imbalance.

Hormonal imbalance is usually caused by the following:

Aging of the body: On entering the perimenopausal and menopausal years, the ovaries produce less estrogen. A shortage of hormones is almost inevitable in this group.

Postpartum women: During pregnancy, estrogen rises very high to protect the fetus. After giving birth, the mother's body experiences a drop in hormones, and this rapid decline in hormones makes the mother prone to depression and sadness. However, this state only lasts about 3 months after birth, after which estrogen levels return to normal.

Overuse of birth control pills: birth control pills contain synthetic estrogen, which causes a hormonal imbalance in the body.

Staying up late: regularly staying up late disrupts the body's physiological rhythm, slows the detoxification process, and greatly affects the body.

Frequent stress: the pressures of life and prolonged fatigue are also causes of hormonal imbalance.

An unhealthy diet and lifestyle: unhygienic food, food containing high levels of pesticides, and a polluted living environment affect physiological function and, over time, lead to female hormonal imbalance.

Ways to guard against hormonal imbalance in women

FEMALE HORMONAL IMBALANCE AND HOW TO IMPROVE IT

Maintaining a balanced hormonal state is the foundation of beauty and of prolonging a woman's youth. Therefore, you should take care to guard against the causes of hormonal imbalance and improve it through the following measures:

A sensible, nutritionally complete diet; limit the use of alcohol, tobacco, and beverages containing large amounts of preservatives.

Build healthy daily habits, exercise regularly, and consider using products that help the body produce hormones safely.

Limit the use of cosmetics of unknown origin or poor quality that alter the skin's physiology.

Do not put too much pressure on yourself; always keep an optimistic outlook and a relaxed state of mind.

Go for regular check-ups at medical facilities to detect changes in the body early, and thereby prevent and treat factors harmful to your health.
